It has had a performance boost to 260BHP, and is the smoothest 3.0D I have ever driven. It regularly achieves over 30MPG, and has a fair turn of speed when you need it.
It came from the factory with a massive spec with over 10K of extras.
It is black, with black leather, heated and electric fronts, including headrest, soft close tailgate, multi CD, SatNav etc

I have had 4 x X5’s on the bounce. The last three were E53 3.0D sports, the last one I sold with over 225K on the clock. These 3.0D engines seem to go on forever.
This is the 214G/KM version, so is cheaper to tax.
Car comes with V5, service nook, 2 keys, and oodles of paperwork. It recently went into BMW for a re-call and had two new front airbags fitted.
I had the wheels powder coated dark grey when I first had it, but they have all kissed a kerb at some time. With these massive low profile tyres, there is not much protection for the rims.
It had a new alternator and ultra HD Battery fitted last year. The car stands for long periods, as I have a cheap run around (ULEZ FREE) for driving around Brum.
Now for the bad bits!
I suspect this comes from having stood for a while, I keep getting random faults coming up on the dash, sometimes they go off, sometimes they stay on. I had new rear pads and sensor fitted last year, and the mechanic could not reset the dash, so it comes up with ‘rear pads low’, lately it has started coming up with ‘4×4 failure, but it drives absolutely perfectly. An online forum suggested it could be a faulty ABS sensor, or a rusty or broken reluctor ring on one of the axles.
It will break my heart to see it go, but I am going through a course of chemo, and have not got the energy to see it through.
The car is as mint as you can get for a 17 year old vehicle, I have set a fair reserve. But if the car does not reach it’s reserve, I will have it broken for spares (engine, buyer to remove, I will drive it to you so you can test drive £1650) 21″ wheels and good tyres £1500, Electric folding and operated heat mirrors £225 each, and the list goes on. As a breaker, it is worth thousands, (I will give it to a local mechanic to dismantle), but would rather see it go as it is.
It has a detachable towbar, which I have used once in the 9 years I have owned it.
Good luck
